Description: |
| Pelican State Credit Union has been awarded a CDFI Grant from the US Treasury to implement a lending & financial education program to offer additional assistance to our members of modest means. This position is 100% grant-funded for a duration of 3 years. The possibility of this position extending beyond that time is contingent upon meeting benchmark goals and the success of the program. |
Duties: |
| Position will perform credit and debt counseling, facilitate educational seminars and presentations, maintain records and reporting, teach financial literacy to youth through school outreach programs, and assist lending in making sound loan decisions. |
Qualifications: |
-Credit counseling experience highly desired; certification in credit counseling preferred
-Extensive knowledge and experience in reading credit reports
-Lending experience required
-2-4 years experience in credit, finance or collections necessary
-Must have a passion for helping members
-Strong public speaking and presentation skills
-Ability to travel (25-50% and occasionally overnight) required
